Wow, 2019 rolled round fast didn’t it?

I love the beginning of a new year, there’s something about January that gives everyone a new lease of life after Christmas. New year, new start and all that. Each year, I like to set myself challenges and push myself out of my comfort zone, and what better time to refresh these goals than a brand new year!

Here are my yearly goals and aspirations for 2019… What’s yours?

To be more sustainable

Being more sustainable is one of my biggest goals in 2019, and something I feel very passionate about. From going Vegan in January to reducing the amount of plastic I use daily. I want to try and push myself each month to create a positive impact of the world. I’ve gotten to an age where I’m more aware of my personal impact on the world and am lucky enough to be in a position where I can afford to change my lifestyle and diet. So why not do it?! Keep an eye out on my blog, Instagram and Twitter to see more posts about creating a sustainable lifestyle, as there’ll be plenty to come.

To buy our dream house

If you’ve been following my blog this year you’ll remember we sold our first house and moved back in with my parents at the end of September. A new year means a fresh look at the market and *fingers crossed* an offer being accepted on our dream house. Living with my parents over Christmas has taken the pressure off our house search, but I’m itching to get decorating, styling and nesting in our own house again.

To get organised

Ok, anyone who knows me personally will laugh at this one. I’ll never win an award for being the most organised or tidy person, but I’m working on it. This year, I want to streamline, minimalism and focus my time. As I’ve gotten older *sob*, I’ve realised that material things aren’t as important. I want to make sure I don’t get bogged down in ‘things’ and focus on what I need in life. From reducing my wardrobe and shopping habits to de-clutting my dressing table. Anyone read An Edited Life by Anna Newton? I’m using this as my guide to achieve my goals in 2019.

Spend more time on the things I love

Read: spend more time on my blog. The past year, I found myself putting my blog behind everything else. But it’s the one thing wish I could do more of. So, one of my goals for 2019 is to get back to doing what I love, blogging! I plan to set aside time each week purely to focus on creating content, no excuses.

There you have it, my goals for 2019. I love setting out aspirations and targets for a new year. It gives me a focus and purpose, especially during the miserable month that is January. I’d love to hear your goals for the coming year. Are they similar to mine? What’s your main focus for the year? Leave me a comment below or tweet or message me on Twitter and Instagram.
