Autumn Beauty Favourites

Do you ever stumble upon products every now and then that you just have to shout about?

Well this autumn I have found a few gems that I just couldn’t resist telling you about, from make-up must-haves to bed time beauty routines saviors, these are the products I can’t live without this autumn.

In autumn I find my hair get really dry and brittle so I’ve been focusing on getting my hair stronger recently, and some products that have really helped are new Extraordinary Oils range from L’oreal. After shampooing I work a handful of the nourishing balm through my hair and leave for a few minutes before rinsing, not only does it smell amazing, but I love how soft and nourished my hair feels afterwards. This combined with a few pumps of Extraordinary Oil when my hair is still wet has transformed my hair leaving it stronger than ever.

When it comes to my night time routine, I am a big fan of chilling out in a hot bath surrounded by candles and lots of bubbles. My mum bought me some Jo Malone Bath Oil for my birthday back in September and it has become my new favourite addition to my bath time. As you can tell I have already used a lot of it and will definitely be treating myself to another bottle soon. No relaxing bath time would be complete without a scented candle, and Homesense is my go-to for great candles at the moment. I found this DW Home candle a few months back and loved the smell so much that I went back and bought two more, they have lasted ages too.

To complete my night time routine I have been spritzing a little Feather & Down pillow spray before I go to bed, which makes my bedding smell dreamy.

When it comes to makeup I have recently switched up my everyday base layer and it has been a revelation. Having used a powder foundation since I was 16, I took the plunge to liquid a few months ago and am now a total convert thanks to Nars Sheer Glow Foundation. I was worried that a liquid would leave my skin feeling greasy, but I get a lovely flawless coverage with this foundation without being ‘cakey’, which is perfect for me. Combine this with the Nars setting powder and my skin is prepped and ready for my highlighter and blusher.

As I am creeping in to my late 20’s I have been focusing on taking care of my under eyes alot recently and have found this smoothing eye cream from The Body Shop a savior when it comes to everyday eye care. It has a subtle nude tone to the cream when you start to work it into your skin and leaves my under eyes hydrated and nourished throughout the day.

I couldn’t talk about my recent favourite makeup buys without mentioning the Rimmel Stay Matte Lip Colour. If you are looking for a long lasting colour this is the one for you. It applies like a gloss yet sets really matt and last ages. It’s great for windy autumn days as my hair doesn’t stick to it and it doesn’t rub off onto scarves, jumpers or coffee cups!

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post, it is something a little different for me but I loved sharing some of my recent beauty find with you! I am definitely going to write some more so keep an eye out for future posts like this!

The Body Cream eye cream sounds like something I need to try. Does it work to reduce the eye bags too? x

      Thanks,
