Trends | Colour Spot | Deep Green

As the weather is telling us we are well and truly into autumn and heading straight for winter, it’s time to start looking for some lovely, new additions to our wardrobes. Autumn is definitely my favourite season in fashion as the stores are always bursting with warming colours, folksy patterns and layers of textures.

One particular colour that keeps catching my eye however is a gorgeous, rich green found on anything from coats to accessories and even co-ords. This colour is deeper than emerald and richer than dark green but bluer than khaki. Think deep bottle green mixed with autumnal jewel tones, look for wool or swede textures and if it comes in a sparkly version, ALL THE BETTER!

DIY | Crocheted snowflake appeal for HomeStart

When I heard about Home Start's Snowflake appeal I couldn't wait to get involved and loved it so much I wanted to share it with you guys too.
You can make a big difference to a vulnerable child's life this Christmas by simply crocheting your own unique snowflake to show your support to HomeStart and the disadvantaged families the charity helps. The snowflakes will hang on a tree at the Christmas Handmade Fair in Manchester on the 20th to 22nd November before being posted to families across the UK who are supported by the HomeStart charity, to comfort and remind them that they not alone this Christmas.

If like me, you love experimenting with food but want an honest opinion about how easy, tasty or quick the recipes are before trying them, then I am going to write a series of blog post reviewing recipes so you get more of an insight into which recipes are worth trying!
